Evening Skin Care Routine

Hi,
Today I decided to do a post on my evening skin care routine as I have been using some new products which have really been helping my skin. I start of by removing my makeup with the Nivea Daily Essentials Micellar Cleansing Water. I have tried the Garnier version as well as the L'Oreal but for me this works the best. It completely removes all my makeup whilst also moisturizing which is a plus.

After I have removed my makeup I then use Good Things Fresh Start Creamy Cleanser. Firstly it smells gorgeous. It has grape and pomegranate oils in which help to moisturizes and insure my skin is completely cleansed. It also calm my red complexion.

Being a teenager basically means your skin is prone to blemishes and spots so after cleansing I like to use Clearasil Rapid Action Spot Treatment Pads. They claim to reduce redness in just 4 hours but as I use them overnight I dont know if this is true. They do reduce redness but they are also very strong so they sting my eyes when I'm using them and that I don't like. I can put up with it though as they have really cleared up my skin.

Especially in Winter, I like to include a lip scrub in my routine, they get rid of dry skin and also moisturize the lips. My favorite one to use is Lush Bubble Gum. After using the lip scrub, I use the peach kiss baby lips to lock in the moisture.

Finally I use a night cream. My personal favorite is Superdrug's own Naturally Radiant renewing night cream. It gives my skin a glow in the morning so I don't look as dull in the morning. I t also evens out my skin tone.

My Summer Beauty Essentials

Hi Guys,
Here in the UK the weather is beginning to get brighter and hotter, summers nearly here! For me this is the time when I change from heavy full coverage foundations to light BB creams and tinted moisturizers etc. Here are some of my essentials.

The Body Shop's BB cream has been a favorite of mine for a while. When first applied it is a white cream but after blending it matches the exact shade of your skin tone which is great as you don't want that awkward line between your chin and neck. It's extremely light as well as giving some coverage which is great for summer months when its a bit hotter as it allows your skin to breathe. It also has a nice smell which just adds to how much I like it. I have this in the shade 01 and it matches my fair skin perfectly!

In the summer time, I tend to get oily a lot more as I'm sure many of you do. A primer added into your makeup routine just helps to keep your foundation on for longer and the Benefit one is a personal favorite of mine. It minimizes the size of pores helping to make your skin look flawless whilst also adding lasting power to your base makeup which is great.

Having illuminated skin is a must for me in summer. I'm one of those people that have huge bags under my eyes in the mornings and this concealer combats that. It brightens and makes my bags almost non-existent which is great! I have this in the shade Ivory.

Again like the primer, powder just helps keep all your base makeup in place. A light dusting of this in the morning will prolong your foundation wear for hours! I like to re powder a couple of times a day if I'm looking shiny but this definitely helps a lot with the problem. I have this in the shade 00 Translucent.

Having that bronzed goddess glow is a must for the summer months. The Sleek Contour kit contains everything you would need- a matte bronzer and a shimmery highlighter. For beginners its great as well as those on a budget because it contains two products in one. I have the lightest shade as I am fair skinned but there are two other shades as well.

Having the perfect lip duo is vital to completing any makeup look. My favorites are the Burts Bees Beeswax Lipbalm in Peppermint and the Revlon Lip Butter in the shade Tutti Frutti. I apply the Burts Bees lipbalm every morning and find that it maintains good condition of my lips. Its moisturizing and also adds a nice sheen. If I'm going somewhere nice or want to add a splash of color I always find myself reaching for the Revlon Lip Butters and Tutti Frutti is a shade that would compliment any skin tone.

My final summer essential is a do it all pallette and the Urban Decay Naked 2 is definitley that. It has shimmery nude shades, darker shimmery shades, blacks, browns, mattes- it has everything. The quality is amazing and for what you get the price is very reasonable too. I got this for my birthday in march and I don't think there been a day since when I haven't used it.

Summer is my favorite season and if you have any reccomendations for me to try please leave them in the comments.

L'Oreal True Match Foundation Review

Hey Guys,
I thought I'd start of my blog by writing a review on a foundation I've been loving recently. So let my tell you about my skin type. I have combination/oily skin so I get the odd breakout and blemish but I don't have any serious acne or anything. I've been using the L'Oreal True Match foundation for about 6 months now and its still my favourite foundation which says something! I decided to purchase it after reading many great reviews online and it has definitely lived up to my expectations. I have quite pale skin so decided to buy the shade N1, Ivory, which is great for us ladies with neutral undertones. The foundation itself is very light and non-cakey, it blends smoothly and is a perfect match for my skin shade. I think that it has an amazing colour range for only being a drugstore foundation and the quality of it is similar to those on the higher end of the spectrum. The coverage is build able from light to full and has a semi-matte finish with a light dusting of powder on top. So far I have only found two downsides to this product, the first being if I have a dry patch of skin it tends to cling even with moisturized skin.So I would not recommend to someone with dry, flaky patches of skin. Also, because of the fact I have to use an intense moisturizer (even with a primer) it doesn't last as long as I would like it to. I do tend to re powder a couple of times a day when using this on my combination/oily skin. Overall, I do really like this product and have just re purchased.
